The TomTom Rider 500 is a standalone sat nav for bikers with a 4.3in colour touch screen and motorcycle-specific winding road routing option. We tested the 550 (same unit, different accessories) and were impressed. We said:

"It’s a proper bit of kit and if you are going on a big ride or a multi-day tour and want to plan ahead and then, know that your route and planning are ready for you, then it is a great option. That’s not to say it isn’t a brilliant navigator for day-to-day riding – it is but that sells it short – it has so much more to it than simply getting you from Peterborough to Penzance as quickly as possible. If you want a dedicated sat nav for your bike, the Rider 550 won’t disappoint."

FAQ

How long do Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2023 last?

Over two days in October, the 10-11th, bringing with it two days of huge deals, exclusively for Prime Members. Expect big brands to be included, and we’ll be keeping an eye out especially for stuff worth stocking up on while it’s cheap.

This event precedes Black Friday, which will take place on 24th November, but we’d also expect to see prices slashed on end of season gear from the start of the month too.

How can I take part in Amazon Prime Big Deal Days if I’m not a member?

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is an event for Prime members only. You can sign up to be a Prime member, which costs £8.99 per month, or £95 for the year if you pay upfront.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to pay that much to access the deals, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial, and then cancel before the 30 days are up.

What happens on Amazon Prime Big Deal Days

Expect 48 hours of time-sensitive savings – in previous Amazon sales events we’ve seen prices drop on big name tech like sat-navs and battery chargers, as well as consumables like cleaning sprays and concentrates.
